Welcome to the SAAVE ME Movement, dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for survivors of sexual violence, particularly those from marginalized communities. SAAVE ME is a safe space dedicated to survivors of sexual violence, particularly those in marginalized communities. We focus on providing empowerment, healing, and community through our initiatives, events, and programs. Our goal is to offer survivors the support, resources, and opportunities they need to reclaim their lives and thrive. SAAVE ME stands for Sexual Assault Advocacy for Victims Everywhere.

​Our Support Groups will launch in 2026, providing a space for survivors to connect, heal, and share their experiences. These groups will offer ongoing emotional support and create a strong network for individuals seeking empowerment in their healing journey.

Our Founder’s Story
Leah M. Forney also side her beloved sister/friend Carmen Hendrix founded SAAVE ME in 2018 driven by their personal journey as a survivors of sexual assault. When Carmen’s life was cut short in September of 2018, Leah decided to continue what they started in honor of the legacy that Carmen left behind. Her experiences with trauma and her work advocating for survivors inspired her to create a movement that provides support and validation for those who need it most. Leah’s vision for SAAVE ME is to ensure every survivor, especially those in marginalized communities, has access to the resources and support necessary for healing and empowerment.
